    • Review/finalize plans for PD 10/12 

    • Start planning next PD days  


    PD 10/12 

    • Touch base regarding staff emotions mentioned during staff meeting (angry, overwhelmed, tired, anxious) 

    • 8:30 Sam and Neil will start the day, frame the morning/day 

    • 8:30-9:30 – videos and discussion on math/ELA differentiation 

      • Video – Marilyn Burns video clip of a 3rd grade math lesson (Neil will facilitate) 

      • Conversation about video (Drew will plan, Kevin will facilitate) 

        • Teacher moves, student voice, opportunities for differentiation, multiple entry points   

    • 9:30-10:30 – "Who Am I?" Project (Xena will facilitate)  

      • Intro 

        • Grade levels share what they've been working on 

      • Whole group discussion 

        • Ideas and suggestions for moving forward 

      • Break into Elementary and MS 

        • Elementary – discuss next steps 

        • MS – discuss homeroom lessons (more consistency across classrooms) 

    • 10:30-10:45 – Break  

    • 10:45-12:15 – Learning Walk (Trevor will facilitate)  

      • 10 minutes per grade band (k/1, 2/3, 4/5, 6, 7/8, specialists) for teachers to explain how their classrooms run, view anchor charts, big projects, etc. 

        • During the 10 minutes, grade band teachers will be in their classrooms to answer questions and interact with observers  

      • Learning Walk Reflection sheet to record observations 

        • Routines, student ownership, social emotional, social justice work  

      • Come back as a group to discuss take-aways  

    • 12:15-12:20 – Annie will frame what PLC time could look like, supports that are available to lead PLC discussions  

    • 12:20-1:20 – Lunch  

    • 1:30-3:30 – PLCs  


    Future PD Days (Purple Wednesday afternoons, 2:30-4:30)  

    • Possible plan for PD days: 2-4 sessions happening at once (ex. CCC, Schoology, number talk, technology, race and equity) 

      • Sessions could be part of a series, sessions continued on subsequent PD days  

      • Four part series (1 hour per session) 

      • 3-4 offerings for each hour  

        • Technology, Race & Equity, ?, ?  


    Action Steps 

    • Send out poll to gauge what staff wants to focus on for the PD series 

    • Find point people to lead these sessions 

    • Kevin, Xena, Neil, Drew, Annie, Darren will meet to flesh this idea out – will meet 10/18 @3:30 Darren's office
