Typically need to approve minutes at the start of each meeting for the previous meeting
Jenny: Proposal to initial the minutes at the end of each meeting?
Drew: Can notes be cut and paste into email for approval?
Protocol for approving minutes:
One week review of minutes for approval sent to BLT meetings. BLT members are responsible for reviewing minutes in that time for feedback or adjustments. If there's no reply or otherwise no adjustments needed then it is assumed that they are ok and ready to be approved. Approved minutes are then sent to Britta for posting.
Finalize/approve modified BLT bylaws
Approved by staff so ready to be posted and filed
Debrief conversation with staff on PD structure and schedule
Kevin: Teachers were pumped to be able to have this time and to continue work started from last year. Consistency is a huge step in the right direction for the school. BLT can help to drive this process with the support of teachers.
Drew: Nice to see other people's perspective on the structure and schedule
Neil: Sounds like to plan is to move forward. One piece of feedback heard is ordering all staff time strategically
