Seattle Public Schools Task Forces and Committees

Seattle Public Schools has a number of task forces and committees created to address specific issues, programs and School Board priorities.

Task forces meet for one year or less. Advisory committees are ongoing. Membership is appointed by the superintendent or board and is expected to represent the diversity of the district. They are co-lead by district staff and community. Councils are parent groups that set their own agenda and offer support and advocacy.
