*how and why we need to re-frame our understanding of behaviors (from inattention and school/homework resistance to emotional or physical meltdowns) from being intentional acts to stress responses (often cognitive stress in school-related tasks)

* why developing self-regulation (“self-reg”) and not self control is key to supporting children at home and at school (and why there’s a difference)

* the importance of relationships: how the “self-reg” of parents, teachers and caregivers is inextricably linked to children’s own ability to “self-reg”
